Meet the Team

Sherri Carlson and Nikki Francies aren’t just the founders of CRW, they have been close friends for over 25 years. Their working relationship began when they both worked for a garment distributor, developing and producing corporate apparel. They noticed a gap in the market that many aspiring designers and Canadian clothing companies faced when searching for production support – preventing them from moving forward with their business. After 2 years of analyzing production services, meeting with designers and forming production partnerships, Sherri and Nikki took the leap and started CRW Design. Together, they have worked with over 500 different customers, transforming ideas, designs and dreams into reality.

Director of Operations
Sherri brings nearly two decades of industry experience as the Director of Operations at CRW Design. Her journey began in project management within the construction and home design industries and then led her to work in adult corporate training and community outreach.
Her path into fashion evolved when she worked for a garment distributor alongside Nikki for over four years. Recognizing a growing demand for support in creating and producing garments, Sherri and Nikki crafted a business model to nurture fashion entrepreneurs and designers.
Sherri's role is all about making designs a reality. She enjoys collaborating with her team to develop and produce customer designs, transforming concepts into tangible garments with the hands and skills of everyday people. Her true passion is working with people to nurture and support both the people and processes within the business.
Outside of work, Sherri thrives in the outdoors, whether in the mountains or tending to her garden. She embraces new adventures, like dirt bike riding, and cherishes family, animals, and life's simple pleasures.

Director of Development
As CRW Design's Director of Development, Nikki brings nearly 20 years of experience in the industry. Before working in garment production, she worked as a mental health counsellor before transitioning to the world of promotional sales. Throughout the four years they worked together, Nikki and Sherri discovered the abundance of aspiring designers looking for guidance in turning their visions into reality, which is the catalyst that led to the start of CRW Design.
In her role, Nikki collaborates closely with customers, guiding them from initial concepts to full production. She works with each customer individually to bring their brands to life and ensure the process is seamless and stress-free. Her passion lies in nurturing the creativity of visionary designers.
Beyond work, Nikki finds joy on her boat up north with her loved ones, including her faithful dog. She also enjoys hosting gatherings with friends and family, sharing good food and quality time.

The team at CRW Design is made up of more than a dozen full-time and contract team members. When not working on your clothes, we love getting involved with our community and participating in events in support of local charities.
